Purpose
Veon Scientific Ltd is committed to doing business lawfully, fairly and with integrity. This policy sets out the standards we expect of our directors, employees and anyone acting on the company's behalf.
Ethical Business Conduct
We expect everyone acting for the company to:
- Act honestly, professionally and in good faith with customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations and legitimate customer requirements.
- Avoid misleading statements, falsified records, improper commercial practices and the deliberate concealment of material information.
- Protect the confidential, proprietary and personal information entrusted to the company.
- Identify and properly manage any actual or potential conflict of interest.
Bribery and Corruption
We have zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, kickbacks and facilitation payments. No one acting for or on behalf of Veon may offer, promise, give, request or accept an improper financial or other advantage to influence a business or official decision.
Gifts and Hospitality
Reasonable, proportionate business hospitality and modest gifts may be given or accepted where they are legitimate, infrequent, transparent and not intended to influence a decision improperly. Cash gifts, or cash equivalents intended as personal benefits, are not acceptable.
Fair Competition and Procurement
We aim to compete on the quality, capability, service and commercial value of our products and services. Supplier and purchasing decisions should be based on legitimate business considerations, including technical capability, quality, reliability, compliance, availability and value.
Suppliers and Business Partners
We expect our suppliers and business partners to act lawfully and ethically, and not to engage in bribery, corruption, forced labour, exploitation or other unlawful practices. Where the nature, location or value of a supply relationship points to a higher risk, we may carry out proportionate due diligence.
Raising Concerns
Any director, employee, contractor or other person with a legitimate concern about suspected unethical or unlawful conduct connected with Veon can raise it directly and confidentially with a Director. Concerns raised in good faith will be taken seriously and handled as confidentially as is reasonably practicable.
Governance
The Directors are responsible for maintaining an ethical culture and for responding to material concerns. This policy is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever there is a material legal or organisational change.
