Equality, Diversity & Human Rights Policy

Purpose

Veon Scientific Ltd is committed to a professional, respectful and inclusive working environment, and to treating people fairly and equally in recruitment, employment, development and business relationships.

Equal Opportunity

We base employment and work-related decisions on legitimate requirements such as capability, qualifications, experience, performance and the needs of the role. We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimisation or unfair treatment.

This applies regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, nationality or ethnic origin, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by applicable law.

Service and Outside Commitments

We do not disadvantage anyone because of lawful service or participation in the Armed Forces, Reserve Forces, cadet forces, voluntary organisations or other lawful community groups and activities, subject to the reasonable operational needs of the business.

Human Rights and Fair Treatment

Across our activities, we:

  • Respect the dignity and rights of individuals.
  • Do not use or tolerate forced, bonded, trafficked or child labour.
  • Maintain safe and appropriate working conditions.
  • Do not tolerate bullying, harassment, intimidation, exploitation or retaliation.
  • Make recruitment, pay, development and progression decisions fairly and on legitimate business grounds.

Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments

Where applicable, we will consider reasonable adjustments to remove or reduce the disadvantages experienced by disabled applicants, employees or anyone else who deals with the company.

Supply Chain Expectations

We expect our suppliers and business partners to comply with applicable employment and human-rights law, and to maintain working practices consistent with fundamental standards of dignity, safety and freedom from exploitation.

Raising Concerns

Concerns about discrimination, harassment, human-rights issues or unfair treatment can be raised confidentially with a Director. Concerns raised in good faith will be considered promptly and fairly.

Governance

This policy is approved by the Directors of Veon Scientific Ltd and applies proportionately across all of our activities. It is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever there is a material change to legislation or to the organisation.
